The nice areas are in Ciutat Vella – for a 1 bedroom flat, you will be looking to pay anything from 63,000 to 200,000 euros. A budget of 150,000 euros would buy you a nice little apartment.

Some one bedroom flats are tiny though! If you don’t already live in Barcelona, take a two week holiday there, visit some real estate agents and walk around the city to see where you would like to live most.
