What issues do you see arising with this European Backpacking plan?

milan apartment

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on traveling to Europe this fall after graduating from grad school. I'm a 23 year old guy that doesn't mind roughing it, but I would definitely like to have enough cash to see some local sights and have some fun. I'm planning on buying a 3 month Eurorail ticket and staying at local hostels. Attached below is my tentative schedule and budget.

What I'm hoping you might be able to do is offer suggestions or point out any problems with the travel plans. Maybe I'm not spending enough time in a certain place, or there are train issues from one place to another, or I'm missing something from my budget, not budgeting enough, etc. I'm an American citizen planning on only spending 90 days in the Shengen countries, so I don't think i'll have any Visa issues.

Also, if you have any ideas for things to do in these locations or anything like that, please feel free to offer suggestions. I also want to hit up some gay nightclubs on weekend nights, so if anyone has any info for the gay traveler, I would love that as well. Really, I'm grateful for whatever info you can provide.

Here are my tentative plans...

Where to go in a day trip from Milan, Italy ?

rent in milan
I will reach Milan at 11-30 AM on 30th Dec, 2010 from Amsterdam, and I have that day free before I start my Italy trip. I would like to touch some mountain/lake in Swiss or Italy, to get a freshness of snowy mountain or icy lake on that day. Please suggest me a nice place.
I will rent a car at Milan airport, so going to any place in a hour or two's drive will not be a problem.
Thanks in advance.

So how many of my fellow gunners are looking forward to the start of 2010/11 season?

milan apartment

one "Major" signing of the season in Thomas Vermaelen & two departures in Toure & Adebayor & the only other potential Major signing is Chamakh, Appearances 192 (46) Goals.

With the added news that the injured Samir Nasri's replacement injury prone star Rosicky, who carrying on his prolific form of well, being inured is injured again ( out for 6 weeks )

We have missed out on signing Melo & now Hunteelar who has just joined AC Milan from Real Madrid & we have an anxious wait to find out who we willl be playing in the CL & a tough home game against a Everton.

The board claim to have Arsenal in the best interest but their actions of not providing cash prove otherwise, I know we were depending on the sales of the Highbury apartments, which in this financial climate are proving difficult to sell (which is one reason why were in trouble), but the boardroom war between Stan Kroenke, Peter Hill-Wood & Alisher Usmanov is causing us real damage.

I do believe if Wenger had Cash to spend he would spend it.
Season is finsihed before it starts love.

For some reason ATM here only allows me to take out 250 euros each time. The exchange rate has been around 1.47 or so with a 3 dollar surcharge in addition. With the exchange rate sucking, I dont know what's the best way because I need to pay rent by cash. Help!

Is it possible to get to Pymble from Sydney with public transports?

rent in milan

I'm Italian and I need to reach Pymble NSW from Sydney (hotel in downtown), round trip in a day, from Sydney not from Milan ;-) .
Is it easily accessible with public transports (bus, train or......) or I'd better rent a car in Sydney to go there? I drove on the left in U.K. and British West Indies... I dont' like it. :-)

Thank you very much, and sorry for my bad english.

New puppy is mouthing (+ other issues). Help?

milan apartment

Hi all
My husband and I adopted a 6 month old pup from the shelter about 3 weeks ago. He's a lhasa apso/schnauzer mix with a playful, happy, big-dog attitude. He's proven to be a very fast learner and very, very food-motivated.

We've all ready had improvements with his play biting and mouthing but I'd like to hear of any other methods out there. Primarily we've used Cesar Milan's system but it tends to turn into a game.

Also, what can we do about him barking at us for attention? We live in a studio apartment and I'm home all day. We go on two-three 15 minute walks a day, take 10 minutes to do some basic training (sit, stay, come, etc) and a couple solid hours of playtime between my free time during the day and my hubby getting home from work in the evening. So, he's GOT lots of attention. What can we do to deter the yapping?

THANKS!
