Help planing my northern Italy getaway?
So, I'm trying to plan a vacation around a Juventus soccer game. We are leaving on a Friday and hopefully arrive in Turin the same day. We were planning on spending that whole following week in Italy. So, that's a full week (Friday arriving, Saturday leaving). I was hoping to spend a few days in Turin and see the game on Sunday, a few days in Parma, and a few days in Milan and then leave from Turin again. I realize that's rushed, but I don't have more time to spend than that.
So, I had several questions. I've never planned a trip like this:
1 - Where is a good place to buy Juventus tickets?
2 - Going from town to town: should I rent a car for the whole week now? Should I rent a car when I get there? Should I try and figure out the bullet trains?
3 - Any suggestions on where to stay once there? I'm relying on Orbitz right now.
Feel free to shoot bullets in my plan. I've never done this before and am trying to figure it out as I go.
Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the double post - I'm new to this!
I just wanted to comment that I want to order my tickets now, and I wanted to plan the travel out now.
Sorry again - I'd delete it if I could!

I should note: I want to get everything setup now. I don't want to get there and find out they have no tickets or cars to rent. Any ideas where to get things now?
Why are all the apartment windows in Milan shuttered closed?
I noticed that all the apartment buildings have shutters and they're closed. It seemed odd, especially since they were many stories up.

Travelling to Italy: fly into Tuscany or Milan on New Year’s Eve?
We are taking a 2 week trip to celebrate our anniversary in December and have two flight options when we arrive in Italy (from Paris) on New Year's Eve....
1. Fly into Milan at around noon. Rent a car in Milan and drive to Bologna. (3 hour drive)
2. Fly into Tuscany (pisa airport) at 6pm. Rent car and drive to either Sienna, Florence, or somewhere in the countryside.
We've never been to italy and we don't speak italian. One concern is that arriving a bit late on new year's eve might be hard to navigate our way around. For example: maybe things close early....?
In terms of ease and general New Year's Eve fun.... can anyone recommend option 1 or 2.............. and why?
I am considering being a nanny in Italy for a year, has anyone done this before?
Can you reccomend one agency over another? How was the experience? I used to live in Germany for a year and have wanted to live in Europe again, this seemed like a great way to go. I work with kids here and thought that it would be a smooth transition. Any recommendations for things to keep in mind while prepairing for this trip would be appriciated. As would any advice you can share for once I live over there. I have about a year to get ready (due to my lease on my apartment here) and am really excited about it. Would love any feedback you can give me. The agency I have looked into is Europlacements and they are based out of Milan, but the families are from all over.
Info about Milan, Italy please?
Hi, I'd just like to know what its like living in Milan, Italy. What's the cost of living there like, is it expensive or cheap (please provide figures)? What's the social climate like, etc. Also should I be worried about things like crime and the Mafia??
I've never been to Italy and I'm considering a nanny/English Teacher job there wher I'll be living with a family. Also I'd like to know what the monthly salary rates are like on average in Italy. The job I'm considering is free board and food so I don't have to worry about rent, but the salary is 600-800 Euros PER MONTH... is that much, or very little? I know that living in the city is more expensive, but I'll also be working at least 5 hours per day, doing things like laundry, teaching children, preparing lessons etc... please let me know your opinions!
And NO I'm NOT an American. I only bring up the Mafia because another Italian brought it up...
The Three Caballeros?
Sir NormG,Faisal and Contact lived on the 30th floor of a building. One night when they returned home after a party, they found that the elevator was out of order. So,they decided that each of them would tell a story so that they would reach the top without getting bored.
Contact started with the story about his past and how he grew up supporting Milan.
Faisal recalled his childhood memories and all the silly things he had done as a kid, and so they reached the 20th floor.
Now NormG looked at them both with a perplexed expression and said, "Now guys, the story I'm going to tell you is really sad and tragic.Try to hold on to your hearts !"
The other 2 said, "It Can't Be That Bad. Go On !"
NormG took a deep breath and said, "We forgot the apartment keys downstairs in the car !"
