Housing cost in Bangkok, Thailand?
My company is planning to send me to Bangkok, Thailand for a long period of time. I am looking for a decent 2 bed room apartment for me and my wife for rent. Prefer if its fully furnished with a kitchen.
I have found several web sites providing rentals but not with a kitchen (although they told me I can cook in my apartment) and they are not too expensive. Less than USD$300. I need something more comfortable for my family.
I have also been told that Farangs looking for apartments usually get jacked around. Now I have lived in Shanghai, China for a year so I am well aware of the difference foreigners & locals pay.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for all the advice. For sure, I will end up in a hotel for at least 4 weeks. I am just looking for a price range because it was difficult to find an apartment in the internet with a kitchen which i found strange.
I am looking for an apartment in Shanghai, China anyone has an idea?
How much does a typical 2 bedroom apartment rent for in China?
Me and my wife want to move to China and we are thinking about getting a live in nanny to help us with our first child that we are planning for. Is a 2 bedroom apartment sufficient enough for me, my wife, our child, and our live in nanny? How much does it typically cost to rent out a 2 bedroom apartment usually on the 1st or 2nd floor of an apartment when we move there? I am not sure on where I will be teaching, I really don't want live in Shanghai or Beijing because the costs are too high but maybe somewhere in Zhejang or Guangdong Provinces but how much is the typical rent and usually does the school help with this? I really do want to teach and be there for my wife when we have our first child but I need to be at work teaching and want to get her a live in nanny to help because we are unfamiliar with how to raise a kid. Any suggestions please.
Me and my wife changed our minds, we decided instead that we want to go to Beijing. How much does it cost in Beijing for a 2 bedroom apartment. The reason we choose this was because in Beijing they speak straight Mandarin and not Shanghainese and I think Shanghainese are much more ruder then in Beijing. Plus they offer a higher salary, the olympics will be there, and it is the capital and I would love to see the forbidden city where the Last Emperor use to live.
How much can I earn teaching English in Shanghai and what times do they start hiring?
I want to teach English in Shanghai so badly but I don't know whether me and my wife should just go to shanghai on a tourist visa and cahnge visa status once I get there and find a job or just apply for a job online and start getting a work visa and start as soon as I get there. I want to go this summer, what times do they hire for summer? How much can I earn in Shanghai teaching English? I want alteast a salary of 8,000 RMB a month plus a furnished apartment. Is there any places like that hiring? Can you give me some hints on where to look. I go to eslcafe.com, eslplaza.com, and craigslist.com all the time but is there any other websites out there. What can one do to start teaching in Shanghai, what is your best advice?
A good apartment in Shanghai?
In January I'm moving to Shanghai for a year, and I'm already starting to think about apartment hunting. My place of work will give me someone to help find me an apartment, but I want to try and get a few steps ahead so it goes as quickly and smoothly as possible, and I will know what's going on.
I do not yet know what district of Shanghai my office will be in, there are several offices for my organization.
I want something fairly "cheap" and "affordable" but at the same time, I want something nice, relatively new, and not bad, too old, or dirty.
I need it to be safe--for example, you can only get upstairs to the apartment floors if you have a key or the resident lets you in, or there is a doorman.
I highly prefer air-conditioning in all rooms, and a western bathroom.
I don't mind a long commute to work if it helps with price.
I don't need to live near other Westerners.
Hope that gives you a better idea of what I am looking for and my wants and stuff. Any ideas? Any districts I should look at? What should a good price be that's not too expensive? What type of apartment should I be able to get? and anything else you can think of
Thanks!
Apartment rent price in china and websites?
Hello, I shall be planning a trip to china soon to be with some friends, and I have some apartment questions...
1. Whats the difference between local and western style apartments?
2. How come I find 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartments for 150$ a month in shanghai, but then i look on an english site and they got one for 1,000 a month?
3. What are some websites other than soufun.com for apartment rental in china?
Thank you.
I meant on expat websites...
I meant on expat websites, why it costs so much more on those.
