How do I make a bank transfer to send money for an apartment deposit abroad?

I am sending a deposit for an apartment in florence that I intend to rent. The landlady said that I can send the money via bank transfer and she gave me her IBAN code to do it. Do I go to my own bank (Washington Mutual) to make this transfer?
I would call my bank, but they deleted the option where you can talk to a real person. You can only choose from pre-recorded selections.

Most likely, yes. Why don’t you call your bank and ask them to be certain of what information you need and how to do it?
