Hi,Unless you REALLY have to live in London i would give it a very wide berth. It is incredibly expensive to rent anywhere in the capital and comuting in is a nightmare. If you have no option i would search the internet for Estate Agents in london and e-mail them to find if they have a flat to let and how much it would cost.

If you search for ‘Room Type: Studio or Apartment’ on:
or have a nose around:
you’ll see some ‘apartments’ listed there… but in truth, they’re nothing more than a standard hotel room (with its standard en suite bathroom) that has been fitted with a cooker, a fridge and a sink. It’s just not worth paying extra for that.
If you wanna get a proper apartment/flat with a separate kitchen and separate bedroom, you’re looking at paying well over £100 a night for the privilege.

We call them flats instead of Apartments so you are looking for “flat to let”.
A good place to start is you click on the rental section, put in which area of London you are interested in and your budget either per week or calendar month and whether you want it furnished or unfurnished. It will then tell you which properties match your criteria and who the estate agent is to contact about viewing it. I believe you call an estate agent a realtor.
It is also helpful to know how many bedrooms you want and how long you want to rent for.
