It depends on where, or which area, in London you want to be. Start with the general direction from the centre e.g. city, north, west, east, south. The the transport hub you want to be nearest. e.g. Westminster, Wood Green, Ealing, Bethnal Green, Brixton. There are pros and cons for all the areas and the cost will vary dramatically. For a two bed apartment you will need to pay approximately £1500 per month in a moderately good area.

To give you an estimate I think you are looking at between £200 and £300 a week for a two bed. But yes I would check the websites such as gumtree.com and rightmove.co.uk.
