Jewish area… Hackney, Harrington Hill. It’s not as bad as everyone leads Hackney to seem, lots of Orthodox Jews there. It’s mostly Orthodox Jews and poverty people there. So the rent would be substantially lower, try looking there. The Orthodox Jewish community seem really big and friendly.

Ink is right, the minimum is about 1000 pounds per month. Lodging is expensive everywhere around London. Even the suburbs, such as Greenwich, are pretty expensive. My boyfriend used to live 5 minutes from Paddington Station and he paid 700 pounds or so for a closet-sized room, with one bed, desk and a bathroom/shower. You literally could not fit two beds in there. He moved to Greenwich and got a bit of a bigger apartment (bed, desk, closet, spacious bathroom) for about 500 pounds a month, but it’s just an extra room rented out by apartment owners. It is serious very expensive and I would hope you have a very good job.
