Is it possible to get to Pymble from Sydney with public transports?

I'm Italian and I need to reach Pymble NSW from Sydney (hotel in downtown), round trip in a day, from Sydney not from Milan .
Is it easily accessible with public transports (bus, train or......) or I'd better rent a car in Sydney to go there? I drove on the left in U.K. and British West Indies... I dont' like it.
