If I wanted to rent a flat in Paris for a week, what section of town should I look in?

rent paris
I'm going to Paris in May, and i'm seeing all sorts of vacation rentals that look much more unique than a hotel. But I don't know the neighborhoods. Any recommendations? I'd love an area that's close to the museums or something with a lot of historical character. Just a cute spot to vacation and experience all of Paris for a mid-30s woman.

  1. The 1st arrondissement might be a nice location to stay in for a one week visit. This area would put you close to many landmarks such as the Louvre, the L’arc de Triomphe, the Jardin des Tuileries, Rue de Rivoli, Place Vendome, Palais Royal, the Jeu de Paume, Place des Victoires and the Comedie Francaise. There are many shopping destinations in this area such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Didier Ludot, Places des Victoires and the famous Rue St. Honore where you can find many famous designers. Great food abounds at places like Fauchon, Cojean, La Patata, Harry’s New York Bar and Chez Georges. If you want to try a bar try Bar Hemingway in the Hotel Ritz or Le Fumoir at 6 Rue de L’Amiral-de-Coligny.
    Have fun!
