The monthly rail pass – Navigo – will cost £52 at present exchange rates for the month. This entitles you to travel by any means – bus, metro, rer, within zones 1 et 2 – ie all of Paris but excuding suburbs.
Apartments vary in price depending on size and situation. – you could pay from about £700 per month (studio flat) upwards, and the sky is the limit!
You also have to eat, but I think supermarkets are the same everywhere pricewise, and there are so many restaurants in Paris that you can always find somewhere cheap and good – 15-20 euros for a main course. You wouldn’t want to eat out all the time!

Small flat or single room cost around 800 to 900 Euro per months ( + sometimes Charges such as flat insurance and other charges )but depend the area, could be more or less, It’s also difficult to find a place to rent in Paris so be aware of the difficulties.

It depends on what are your life standards.
You could rent a furnished studio in Paris in a nice place for around 1300 US$ or even for 1000 US$ ( a small place) and have a meal in a brasserie for 20 US$.
