Luxury Serviced Apartments Serviced Luxury Apartments – Fully Furnished

I am planning a trip to Milan, Italy next April with my mom. I have a million questions (as neither of us have even gone overseas before), but my first one is how to get to Pavia. We'll be in Milan for a week, but she wants to take a simple day trip to Pavia, leaving early in the morning and returning later on that night.

I'd prefer to take public transportation, like a train, bus, or something like that. We do NOT want to rent a car.

And since I'm totally new to this, please be as detailed as possible. Nothing you say will be assumed, so be as specific as you can.
